FAQ
❓ FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
Still wondering? We might have already answered it.
1. Are all Zenmoku cups really one-of-a-kind?
- Yes. Every Zenmoku cup is handmade and naturally kiln-fired. The glaze is never digitally controlled — what you receive is a singular, unpredictable result of fire and craftsmanship. No two are ever the same.
2. Is this authentic Tenmoku, or a replica?
- Zenmoku exclusively crafts authentic Tenmoku cups using traditional Japanese techniques and natural firing methods. We do not imitate modern interpretations or use mass molds. Each piece reflects true ceramic heritage.
3. Can I choose the exact glaze pattern I like?
- For our “Essential Series”, yes — you’ll see photos of the exact piece you’ll receive. For our “Fortune Box” or “Imperfects” collections, the cup will be selected for you based on your chosen category. It’s part of the magic.
4. Is it safe to use for drinking tea?
- Absolutely. All Zenmoku cups are fired at high temperatures using lead-free, food-safe glazes. They’re made to be used — and admired.
5. Can I return or exchange an item if I don’t like the glaze?
- Since each cup is one-of-a-kind, we do not offer exchanges based on personal aesthetic preference. However, if your item arrives damaged or broken, we will gladly refund or replace it.
6. How long does shipping take?
- Delivery times vary by region. Most orders to the U.S. and UK arrive within 7–14 business days. For full details, see our Shipping Page.
7. How do I clean and care for my Zenmoku cup?
- Hand-wash gently with warm water — no need for soap. Dry thoroughly. Do not microwave or put in the dishwasher. Each cup is a small piece of art, best treated as such.
8. Do you offer gift packaging or personalized notes?
- Yes! Every order arrives gift-ready in minimalist recyclable boxes. You may add a short gift note during checkout, and we’ll handwrite it for you on fine card stock.
9. Do you ship internationally?
- Yes, we ship worldwide with full tracking. You’ll receive a tracking number once your item leaves our studio. Customs and duties (if applicable) are paid by the customer.
10. Can I order in bulk or for corporate gifting?
